Course Description

Take your learner's science studies beyond the page in this engaging companion class for The Good and the Beautiful's Nests & Burrows! Each week, we'll explore the featured habitat or animal through interactive discussion, fun science facts, and a creative hands-on building challenge that helps learners apply what they've learned. As we journey through deserts, forests, rivers, oceans, rainforests, farms, and more, students will discover the incredible ways God designed animals to live, find food, build homes, and care for their young. Together, we'll strengthen observation skills, expand scientific vocabulary, ask thoughtful questions, and encourage curiosity about the natural world. Each class includes: 🦊 Interactive discussion based on the weekly lesson from The Good and the Beautiful's Nests & Burrows 🔍 Extension activities that reinforce key science concepts 🏗️ A creative habitat or engineering-inspired building challenge using household materials, cardboard, craft supplies, building bricks, magnetic tiles, or other materials students have available 💬 Opportunities to share ideas, ask questions, and showcase creations This class is designed specifically as a companion to The Good and the Beautiful's Nests & Burrows curriculum. Learners will need a copy of the book, as we will reference the weekly lessons during class. Families are encouraged to read the assigned lesson before class so learners are ready to discuss, explore, and build together. Taught from a Christian worldview, we'll celebrate the creativity, order, and purpose found throughout God's creation while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science. This class is perfect for homeschool families looking to enrich their science studies with meaningful discussion and hands-on learning that makes each lesson memorable.
